Pastor Kim’s teaching has been characterized as “Meat and Potatoes”. With the Bible as the foundation, he teaches from his heart and his own journey of life. In that, he strives to bring the Word of God to bear on himself and his congregation.
Humor and laughing, music, fishing and other outdoor activities are activities he enjoys. Books are a passion and he reads a great deal. He has also started a butterfly garden outside his office window and delights in the variety of butterflies and Hummingbird visits.
He has a nice collection of antique books some of which date into the early 1700’s. Most of them are theological works.
The people of the congregation have often expressed gratitude that he doesn’t put himself above them but shares the struggles of life with its complexities, challenges, hurts, joys and victories. Together they are learning to live in God’s grace and mercy.
Kim has been blessed with an Elvis sighting at the local Sam’s Club which nearly resulted in an accident. He promises he was not into the communion wine beforehand.
